Let There be Light! Water! and Heat!

Okay, This is probably where the blog becomes a little less interesting to some of you. Or perhaps MORE interesting! It is an exciting phase! We now have power in the building. Therefore, we are closer to having light! and HEAT! The plumbing is also almost hooked up inside.
Here is a view of the recessed lighting in the kitchen area. Two small cans above the sink area - Bill is going to have really good lighting while he is doing the dishes or loading the dishwasher! Then there is a pattern of four over the entire area. This layout worked nicely for my kitchen in Portland
Wires coming in off the power box. very colorful wires. I have not spoken to the electrician yet to know what they are all for. If you are reading this blog, Randy Hess, perhaps you can offer some explanation.

Here's the drain system leading from the bathroom, kitchen and laundry area. And eventually on to the sewer line.

Hook up for sink and dishwasher.
And what you have all been anxiously awaiting to see...the ductless heat pump! This is a photo of the one in the studio apartment. There is also one in the pool area. It is much smaller than I thought it would be. As you can see, it is about as wide as a door opening. This one will live in the entry area of the apartment. We are so looking forward to being warm!
